Marriage preparation counselling

So, we went for our first appointment with Care Corner Counselling Centre (CCCC) today, situated somewhere in Toa Payoh, it's a pre marrital counselling with christian teaching(optional).
5 session of 1.5 hours and cost us $250, you can choose btw individual or gp counselling. Topics include:

1. Knowing myself, my partner and my relationship
2. Building positive interaction- the key to a good relationship
3. Nurturing friendship and intimacy
4. Taking care and taking charge of myself

So at our first session, we had to do the Tailor-Johnson Temperament Analysis, you have to ans 180 questions in 1.5 hours, ans the questions twice, the first time to find out your own personality and the same question repeated to assess how u rate your partner. This is done to measure the 9 common personality traits:

1. Nervous- Composed
2. Depressed- lighthearted
3. Active, social- quiet
4. Expressive, responsive- inhibited
5. Sympathetic- indifferent
6. Subjective- objective
7. Dominant- submissive
8. Hostile- tolerant
9. Self disipline- implusive

Abby's traits:

1. Composed
2. Lighthearted
3. Quiet
4. Inhibited
5. Sympathetic
6. Objective
7. Dominant
8. Hostile
9. Self disipline

Roy's traits:

1. Nervous
2. Lighthearted
3. Active, social
4. Expressive, responsive
5. Very sympathetic
6. Objective
7. Very dominant
8. Tolerant
9. Impulsive

So, if i remembered correctly, these are the results from the test and we have 5 different traits that are opposite. At first, i thought so what if we were different, we are still ok so far, no major disagreements and nth that we cannot handle. Untill the Pastor gave us examples, like if the htb loves being ard pple and i, being more inhibited, quiet and hostile, this could be a prob in the future, he prefers gg out while i prefer stayin at home. smt like that la... and if i was too quiet/ inhibited/ not expressive and not tell the htb how i felt, unplesant feelings could be bottled up too long.

Oh ya, one of the many take home points was that when times are good and easy, try to store up good deeds and good feelings, try to do more nice things for your partner. Bcos it's easier to forgive a persons if he has done many good things for u in the past. So when times are trying and more stressed, like when u have some money problems or stressed up with your first child, and smt goes wrong, it's easier to look past your partner's mistake bcos u remember what he has done well in the past... smt like that la... :)

Bridal bouquet

Hi you guys, sorry for the lack of updates k, been bz w work and din do much wedding prep also. I'll show u my collection of bouquets k, i did myself for photoshoot, din get to use all of them. I was quite flower crazy and made 7 bouquets, see if u like them and if they are up to standard. I used artificial flowers as they can last much longer, and i can rearrange them if i wanted to. My fav one is the light purple, whats your fav?? :) Oh ya, if u like wat u see, i can help u make one if u like, just let me know the colours and specifications.. :) I can do fresh flowers too...

So little time so much things to do..

So i have this iphone wedding day count down app and everytime i look at it, i feel nervous.
4months and 4 days left, die lo.. i still need to:

• 2 wedding cakes, for ROM and dinner (i'm thinking of getting from cake avenue)
• ROM wedding ivitations cards
• Gotta go choose wedding dinner cards soon
• Can't find a GTR for wedding car so choosing btw SLK and Porsche
• Found a VG for ROM and actual day but haven engage a PG yet
• Still looking for a florist to provide me a flower arch and some deco for ROM and AD
• DIY deco for ROM and AD
• Need to confirm wedding favors
• Need to decide on balloons design for AD and ROM
• Need to choose colours for table cloths for AD
• Haven found a ROM dress for myself and clothes for mummy
• Need to complete 5 session of pre marriage counselling
• Arrange for pastor for ROM
• Need to confirm wedding band
• Go see the photos layout from venus

And the lists goes on, Oh dear, so many things to do, i need all the help i can get. Oh ya and i can't wait for bonus, do u know that we upgraded our venus package and now the package is $5820 which is = to 13,388RM, crazy rite. Spending too much $ for pics, package was actually 8388RM and after looking at the 600 pics after the photoshoot, it was so difficult to select only 70, in the end we narrowed down to 120 pics, added a third album to the previous two. All three albums crystal finishing and all in the largest size.

Oh well, i'm not gonna think abt it, darling says we can't bring money to the grave anyway...

Last outdoor photoshoot tmr :)

Ya, so if you are wondering how come i've got so many days of shooting, it like duh.... bcos i'm a star!! ya in my own world.... haha, no la, originally it's only 2 days, one day indoor and one day out... and us being us, always late for appointments, both days arrived late at the studio, so cannot finish all the outdoor locations. So tmr we are gg to Sultan gardens... yeah, i think it's only a 5 min drive from venus, gotta reach there at 0930hrs.... so early, shit, i gotta sleep early, and still got so many things to do, gotta go buy contact lens and go Tangs Vivo get a bow tie for the BF later....

Worries---> Dunno if we are driving into JB by ourself tmr, bcos the last time we wen in alone we got pulled over by their customs officers for (in their own words) "we commited two crime" 1. driving in the chevron and 2. driving w/o licence, WTF rite, Bf din bring license..... big deal..... ( roll eyes) so anyway u can guess wat happens next, ask for $$ la, 500RM!!! wa lao... robbery lo... or else, bf needs to go to the TP office and we all get out of the car and my Subaru is gg to get towed!! can u believe it!! No way we r gg to let u take our car... So in the end we bargained for 200 Rm, ya i know u must b thinking y give them so much rite... oh well, take it as charity
for the less privileged...

Ok enough of that unhappy injustice stuff, now for more happy wedding issues, since i'm gg for another shoor tmr, can share w u my comprehensive list of things to bring, while i call it my complete list, the bf simply calls it TOO MUCH STUFF.. haha... oh well, u'll never know wen u might b needing these things... :)

Outdoor photoshoot day 1

Here are my beautiful outdoor pictures taken by our gd fren elvin.. We love it, thanks! :)

We reached Venus abit late, and by the time we got our make up and selected our clothes, it was already noon, so Ray decided to keep Sultan garden for another day. The drive to Desaru took a little over one hour, i had 3 different outfits to change, 2 gowns was provided by Venus and i bought a purple dress from Tangs that cost me $180, so ex, but it's pretty. Liffery did one hairstyle and one makeup, so it was suppose to last for the whole day.

Although it was hot, tiring, i had to walk around in the clumsy heavy gown, change gowns in dirty disgusting toilets, and the sand flies!!! OMG, i was attacked by so many sand flies in the lalang field... it was terrible man, i think i have around 50 bites and i still have the marks to prove it.. yucks... the blood suckers..

Oh yes, as i was saying, although it was all those bad things, i will still do it again, bcos it's fun. In fact, i will! and i'm going to!! Bcos they still owe me Sultan garden and the local outdoors!!! haha.. more pics.. yeahh..

Indoor Photoshoot

Liffery my MUA, she's very good, and fast, can understand what i want, so we decided to bring her over for actual day wedding dinner... :)
